This is an introductory art course focusing on the theoretical, cultural and historic and studio aspects of visual arts. Emphasis is on the development of visual and aesthetic awareness.
The primary mission of the Art Department is to expose students to a general visual art education. Through discussion, inquiry and experimentation students will be exposed to art history, art appreciation, and studio art. It is my goal to foster an appreciation and critical awareness for the visual arts. Studio skills critical thinking, and exposure to multiple aesthetic approaches will be explored. It is my hope to provide students with cultural enrichment and provide a venue for arts advocacy.
